Help out-of-work restaurant workers by donating $25 to provide a meal kit that feeds 2: Donate via Venmo | Donate via PayPal | Donate via Check (payable to Pasadena Jaycees, 474 W Walnut Street, Pasadena). **Please note that the donation is for Operation Restaurant Worker in the memo.**
With Covid-19 continuing to spread across the globe, millions remain out of work. One of the industries most impacted by this pandemic has been the restaurant industry, with an astounding 11% of the population of California working in restaurants in some capacity. From line cooks to bartenders, bus boys to chefs, janitors to hosts, an array of people from across the community have been affected. Many have been out of work for nearly a year and continue to struggle to pay rent and buy food for themselves and their families.
In order to help this community in need, the Pasadena Jaycees are partnering with the Altadena Ale House to provide free meal kits to restaurant employees who have been furloughed, laid off, or had their hours cut due to Covid-19. The Jaycees are seeking donations to help cover the costs of the kits–$25 buys one kit which feeds 2 people. Donations can be made via Venmo, PayPal or check. **Please note that the donation is for Operation Restaurant Worker in the memo.**
