Mark your calendars! We’re excited to be kicking off our major fall/winter project committees! 🦃 🎅 🏈

If you’re not already familiar, we form committees of rock star members to plan our events. This is a great way to jump into the chapter or deepen your involvement. You’ll make new friends, gain leadership experience, and give back to the community!

🦃 Operation Gobbler- Sep 16 @ 6:30pm
For over 30 years, the Pasadena Jaycees have partnered with the Friends In Deed food bank to provide low income families with turkeys and ingredients for Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers sort and distribute food to over 350 appreciative families on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

🏈 Rose Bowl Program Sales- Sep 16 @ 7:30pm
New Year’s Day is famously the biggest day of the year in Pasadena, featuring the Rose Parade and Bowl Game. The Pasadena Jaycees coordinate the sale official game day programs from inside the stadium during the Rose Bowl college football game. Fundraising from this event makes our impactful community service projects possible.

🎅 Operation Santa- Sep 25 @ 7:30pm
Operation Santa has touched the lives of thousands of children since 1934. Children in Pasadena send letters to Santa, toys are purchased and donated, and hundreds of volunteers, dressed for the occasion as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Elves, deliver thousands of toys to children’s homes on Christmas Eve.

You’re welcome to join committees even if your holiday plans prevent you from attending the day of events. Prospective members are encouraged to come and explore the Jaycees before deciding on membership and taking on a committee role. All meetings will be at the Jaycees office in the Pasadena Museum of History or over Zoom.

Join us for our September Mixer! This month, we invite you to bring your dog along for a nature walk at the Lower Arroyo Seco Trail.

We’ll meet at the San Pascual Stables at 10am and start the walk at the Gateway to Pasadena trail marker.

Our August Member of the Month is Claire Pukszta! An active member for the last three years, she’s been on the committees of every major project. Outside the Jaycees, she loves triathlons, pie, and her cat!

The 39th year of the Kasukabe and Pasadena Homesta

The 39th year of the Kasukabe and Pasadena Homestay Exchange! We were thrilled last week to welcome 26 guests from Kasukabe, Japan for adventures all around Southern California. From the LA Zoo, to Joshua Tree, to JPL, we created memories to last a lifetime. We’re ready for another successful exchange next year!

Enjoy the summer with the Pasadena Jaycees! We’re having a Pickleball Potluck on July 20th in place of our usual monthly mixer. Play pickleball with provided supplies and bring a dish to share. This event is a great way to meet active, young friends in the Pasadena area.
Optional, but you’re also encouraged to bring backpacks and other supplies for Friends in Deed’s back to school drive! See the link in bio for more information 🏓
