Why join? So many reasons, so many opportunities!
The Pasadena Jaycees are all about community service in Pasadena, networking with others who care about their community, and developing leadership skills. We do all of this while having an amazing time and building great friendships.
Founded in 1929, the Pasadena Jaycees are a respected and well-loved Pasadena institution.
We have won numerous awards for our service projects, including the Salvation Army Other’s Award and the 5 Acres Special Service to Children Award in 2013. The Pasadena Jaycees received the Howard Memorial Award and the Marks Memorial Award for the most Outstanding Chapter from JCI USA in 2024, the highest award a chapter can achieve from JCI USA.
Need some practice, or looking to develop new skills? The Jaycees provide great opportunities for you to learn or sharpen your leadership skills. Join a committee for one of our many large and award-winning service projects for resume-boosting opportunities – improve your public speaking, hone your project management skills, and get experience with things like budgeting, marketing, fundraising, and more!
Members of JCI have access to several discounts for car rentals, hotels, insurance premiums, and more. Local businesses also provide limited time offers throughout the year so you can explore more of the city you love.
Questions about how to take advantage of your discounts? Email [email protected] for more information.
Members must be between ages 21-40, fill out an application, and pay the membership fee of $103, which goes towards chapter administration, executing our projects, and exclusive events for members.
As we are part of a movement for young leaders, the age range of our chapter is in accordance with our global governing body Junior Chamber International (JCI).
We welcome volunteers of all ages for most of our projects–keep an eye on our social media for volunteer opportunities.
