Since 1987, the Pasadena Jaycees have partnered with the Friends in Deed to provide hundreds of low-income families in the Pasadena area with ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal.
To achieve this, the Jaycees solicit corporate sponsors and collect donations from community members and businesses. Volunteers sort the food and distribute them to appreciative families the weekend before Thanksgiving.
